With a bachelor's degree from UCSB in Set Design, my career started out in Hollywood in the television industry. I did everything from designing scenery, painting backdrops, and set decorating. Then, after moving to Orange County, CA, a career change was in order. I had the knowledge of what works in a space, while thinking outside the box! I took interior design and architecture classes to hone my skills and decided to apply to the same job my mother had over 30 years ago, as a Design Consultant for California Closets. Things had really changed since she designed closets! She used a pencil to design, and now we use a CAD program made just for California Closets. We can show our clients their design right away in 3D. And now, we get to design all kinds of spaces, not just closets. I love my job, and I love working with my clients. I have found that the key to good design is to listen closely to my clients’ vision and collaborate. Whether it is Traditional or Contemporary, Functional of Fancy, we can come up with the best option for your style and budget together.
