California Closets Greater Detroit

The price wasn’t as expensive as I thought, especially after comparing it with the DIY kits sold at Home Depot and Lowe's. However, the customer service was superb. The designer was knowledgeable, not pushy and experienced. The installer was courteous, on time and left my closet with no debris. A very good experience and I love my new closet. Can’t wait to have the other two done.

My consultant was both professional and personable. When it came time to design my 10-year-old daughter’s closet, she asked her what her needs were, which made her feel special and part of the process. When the guys showed up to install the closets, same experience. If you are going to invest in a project like this, I would certainly recommend California Closets NO contest. Can’t beat the warranty!!! I love my new closets and I’m way more organized too.

I cannot say enough good things about my experience with California Closets from beginning to end. The entire process was seamless, professional, and exceeded my expectations. My designer came into my home and, within an hour and a half, created a beautiful and functional design tailored not only to my current needs, but also to how our family’s needs will evolve as our children get older. She was incredibly knowledgeable, collaborative, and efficient — and was even able to provide pricing on the spot. Before choosing California Closets, I also met with a competitor because I assumed California Closets would be significantly more expensive. I was completely wrong. Not only were the materials, professionalism, and overall experience far superior with California Closets, but the competitor actually quoted me nearly double the price. After I shared California Closets’ pricing, they spent over an hour calling managers trying to match it — which honestly spoke volumes. California Closets had warned me that some companies inflate pricing only to later offer “discounts,” and that was exactly my experience elsewhere. Installation day was equally impressive. They arrived exactly when promised, and as a mom with an 8-month-old baby, I was nervous about noise and disruption during nap time. My installer, Jim, was absolutely exceptional. He was kind, professional, meticulous, and incredibly respectful of our home. He took great care to protect surrounding areas, kept everything remarkably clean throughout the process, and was genuinely personable and friendly. Despite the large project, he completed everything in just 5½ hours. I am beyond happy with the final result and the entire experience. I would absolutely recommend California Closets — and especially Jim — to anyone considering custom closets.

This is the second job I have had California Closets do for me and each time they were on time, courteous, well prepared and neat. I will be having them out again to do additional work for me.

My entire experience was such a pleasure. Things happened when they said they would. The design consultant was great. The installers were professional and absolutely amazing. I’d have them do all my other closets in a heartbeat!

This is my third purchase from California Closets (the first at this location). The salesperson was professional, worked with our comments/recommendations and developed an outstanding design, given the space limitations.

We love what California Closets did to our dark and cramped hallway. They helped us with the designed, put us in touch with an excellent contractor who did the construction work and finished the job perfectly. I will do more work with CC in the future!

Very professional and courteous! Overall, we had a great experience and California Closets was able to accommodate our budget with a great product and maximize our small closet.

It was refreshing as I have had many contractors in the house since March, who leave huge messes, drink my coffee when I’m not home, and don’t show up on a timely basis. The process of designing and installing my built-ins was exciting and non-stressful. I called and ordered more when they were finished installing!

I enjoyed my experience with California Closets. They helped me plan a kitchen pantry that would work well in my home. The men who installed the pantry did a beautiful job. They left my home clean and neat after the job was complete. I am now enjoying a well organized pantry.

This has been my fourth project with California Closets. This time we redid my teen daughter's closet. Pricing wise everyone’s about the same quality wise and warranty. California Closets beats them all. The whole process start to finish is so easy to and relaxing. I had zero stress or worries about it all. She loves her new closet and we’ll go in there just to look at it. Everything is so organized, especially going from a builder grade closet to a custom one. I can fit so much more in her closet. Shoes clothes and she’s an avid bookworm. Looking forward to having more projects with them!! Some of the best money I have spent in our home. Even my husband who may not be to happy with it but when he sees the final result. He is very happy with it all!

How easy it was to work with our design consultant and the installer as well. Even after we had what we thought was what we needed, we were able to make a few changes to make it perfect. My favorite part was putting everything in its place. No more messy closets!
