Matt Jefferson

I have two obsessions: Design and Jiu Jitsu. Both involve high-level problem solving. So, I suppose my real obsession is solving problems! Good design is not just about creating a beautiful palette. It’s about asking the right questions to identify the right problems, and creating the perfect solutions. I utilize that design-ethos when working with my clients, helping them get the most out of their spaces. I’m a classically-trained designer, having earned a BFA Degree in Industrial Design from the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, Michigan. I fell in love with California Closets the moment I walked in the door and I’m grateful to be a part of the team. I bring with me experience and knowledge of our product and process, having previously worked as a pre-production engineer and CAD manager. A deep understanding of our product and process helps inform the design to better serve my clients’ needs. I reside in beautiful Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, serving the Southeast Wisconsin and Greater Chicago areas. When I’m not designing, you can probably find me rolling at the Jiu Jitsu gym!
